Rachel Tillman is a marketing consultant, who began working with NIRS in 2022. She provides support for planning the annual policy conference and other events, communications and marketing projects, and membership operations, and outreach.
Tillman began her consulting career in 2005. Her clients include business services companies, professional services firms, and nonprofit organizations and associations. She also works with other organizations in the pension and retirement space. Services include marketing strategy and implementation, development of business development and communications materials, event planning and execution, fundraising strategy and operations, and website development and production.
Prior to consulting, Tillman held top marketing positions for over 12 years with several prominent companies and nonprofit organizations. She was Senior Vice President, Director of Marketing for Allied Capital Corporation (NYSE: ALD) and served as a marketing advisor to over 20 of the investment company’s portfolio companies. She was also Partner Marketing Manager for MicroStrategy (NASDAQ: MSTR), Director of Marketing-Mid-Atlantic Region for Deloitte & Touche, Director of Development and Communications at Leadership Washington, and Executive Director of Jubilee Support Alliance.
As a seasoned writer, Tillman’s work on behalf of clients has appeared in numerous print and online publications. She has also received industry awards for her work in relation to clients’ brochures, annual reports, online publications, and websites. Tillman received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY.
